Latet – Israeli Humanitarian Aid is an organization founded in 1996 with the purpose to help populations in need in Israel and all over the world, on an universal and equal base, by motivating the civil society in Israel to be involved in the humanitarian field and thus to create social consciousness, to grant values of .mutual responsibility and giving, and to work to diminish poverty.
Latet is an independent organization, a-politic and nongovernmental, its budget based on donations only. The organization insists on the rules of good governance, keeps its’ overhead as low as 7%, and is fully transparent. More than 6.000 volunteers participate in the various programs that it initiates and operates.
Latet is a roof organization, cooperating with a net of 150 voluntary associations and local organizations, which operate in 95 communities all over the country and among all parts of the population, and help altogether some 60.000 families, continuously and permanently all over the year.
