General

What is give2gether?
A  give2gether is a simple way to let donors and charitable projects come
together online. As a donor, you can target donations to specific
projects and track progress toward their funding goals. By inviting others to
join you in support of a project, you increase your gift’s value. And, if a
project’s target amount has not been reached by the target date, you
     receive a refund.
What is the technology powering give2gether?
A  Although it all happens behind the scenes, the give2gether platform uses
game theory to accelerate awareness of a project and the number of
     individuals donating to the project.
Does it work?
A  Yes! Not only does its unique theoretical approach boost momentum,
give2gether also makes it easier and less expensive for an organization to
reach donors. What’s more, a donor’s donation is at no risk, refunded if the
project goal is not met by its target date.

About projects/campaigns

Who creates the fundraising projects or campaigns?
A  Fundraisers at nonprofit organizations create the projects or campaigns,
     using the give2gether platform.
What type of nonprofit may use the platform?
A  Any approved 501(c)(3) organization.
How is the contribution range (minimum and maximum) set, and by whom?
A  The fundraiser defines the contribution range when creating a project or
campaign, using recommendations that give2gether provides.
Can a project’s target date be changed?
A  No.
How may I subscribe to project updates?
A  In several different ways. When making a contribution, you may opt to
receive updates. You also may subscribe to updates on the project page,
when asking the fundraiser a question about the project.
How may I unsubscribe from project updates?
A  At the bottom of all update e-mails, you’ll see an Unsubscribe link. Simply
click the link to send us an e-mail that will stop updates.
How may I contact a fundraiser?
A  In the Questions area, you will find a link by which you may submit a
     question to the fundraiser.

About donations

How does the donation process work?
A  Your donation to a project is held in a PayPal account until the target date.
If the project’s target amount is reached by that target date, your donation
is transferred to the fundraiser. Otherwise, PayPal refunds your donation.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
A  Yes, because only tax-exempt nonprofits may create projects. You will
receive a tax receipt from the fundraiser once the project has reached its
     target amount.
Does give2gether help me keep track of my donations?
A  For each donation you make, you will receive an e-mail with a numbered
receipt that you may use to track your giving.

About payment/finance

What happens if the fundraiser’s target amount is not reached by the target
     date?
A  PayPal will automatically refund your donation.
How do I get a refund if the project is unsuccessful?
A  If a project is unsuccessful (i.e., does not meet its target amount by the
target date), PayPal will automatically send a refund to all donors.
What are the possible methods of payment?
A  You have several options: debit card, credit card, or a PayPal account. All
payments are done through the PayPal secure system.
How does the money get to the project?
A  If a project is successful (i.e. the target amount is reached by the target
date), PayPal will transfer the funds to the fundraiser’s account.
Can I pay with a PayPal account?
A  Yes.
Can I pay with a credit card?
A  Yes, within PayPal, you do not need a PayPal account to use a credit card.
Can I pay with a debit card?
A  Yes, within PayPal, you do not need a PayPal account to use a credit card.

About inviting Friends

When may I invite Friends to donate to a project?
A  You may invite Friends when you are making a donation to the project, or
     later.
How does inviting Friends to make a donation change my impact on a
     project?
A  When you invite Friends to make a donation to a project that you believe
in, you increase awareness of the project among people you trust and who
are likely to donate. More funds are collected, boosting a project toward its
goal. And remember, they can invite their Friends too.
When may I invite Friends?
A  Once you have made a donation, you will automatically be taken to the
     Invite Friends page.
