2017 Clear the Shelters

Carly was always the last at everything - eating dinner, running in after playtime and falling asleep. She was even the last pup put on a bus heading to Connecticut to find love.

She arrived just in time for "Clear the Shelters 2016". Unlike her first eight weeks of life, this time Carly was the FIRST. She was the first pet to go home in Clear the Shelters.

Your support will ensure pets coming north in search of new homes are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, medically treated and ready to be adopted.

Your gift of $72 or even $144 will make it possible to Clear the Shelters this August.

How can I make a donation to help the pets?

We welcome donations of any size to help us continue our mission.  Working together, we can make a difference in saving pets’ lives. Find out about all our donor programs…Ways to Give.

Is CT Humane a member of any national organization like the HSUS or ASPCA?

No, we are not affiliated with any national organizations. The Connecticut Humane Society is a local non-profit that provides immediate and critical services to pets in our community. There is no national organization which provides direct care and financial support to Connecticut shelters on an ongoing basis.  Supporting your local shelter supports your community.
