Don't Let Them Kill These Dogs!

Please be our miracle!

Officials from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality just informed us that if we don't install a new septic system for the handling of dog waste, they will close our "No Kill" shelter and seize our dogs. That would mean certain death for Jerry, Snookie and the rest of our canine friends.

We have to secure $40,000 in funding. Without a miracle, this is going to be impossible.

You are our miracle. Please donate and tell your friends about our dire situation so they too can get involved. The lives of our dogs depend on it.

This is amazing.:) I am so excited . This means now we just need to keep adopting dogs out to get to the limit and then keep a normal amount of dogs for them to be safe forever:) Will talk to you soon Mr. John

This is great news!! I knew we could do it!! Not that I didn't have some worries along the way but ultimately we did it!! Goes to show that one, two, three, four, etc. people CAN make a difference when we all focus together!

Raven Woods Animal Sanctuary

Raven Woods Animal Sanctuary is a privately run 501(c)3 rescue in Roseland, Louisiana.  We are primarily a sanctuary for dogs, but a few cats also call Raven Woods home.  Raven Woods is an all volunteer organization, funded out of our own pockets and what donations we receive.  With over 200 dogs at the sanctuary, our dog food bill alone runs nearly $3000 a month. The cost of routine medical care for our dogs (heartworm prevention, intestinal wormers, and vaccinations) and medications for the chronically ill dogs adds easily adds another $500 a month, and when dogs need heartworm treatment or have a medical emergency our vet bills are often over $1000.

You Only Pay If We Meet Our Goal

All or Nothing

Half a septic system won't save our no-kill shelter, so if we don't raise $12,000, we will return your donation to you.

Without the septic system, the  Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality will shut us down.  Which means Tangipahoa Parish Animal Control will confiscate our dogs. Last June TPAC killed 900 dogs because of overcrowding.

This is why it's so important that you donate AND tell your friends and family! Only together can we save the lives of these dogs and the dogs that will have no one else to care for them down the road.
