We have extended the campaign and we have four more children to save in this campaign and would appreciate your help one last time in donating and inviting new people to join our efforts.

Meet the six children that you have helped us save:

5 year old Emilia from Angola – Emilia loves learning new things and playing with her friends. She has not started going to school yet but can’t wait to go back home to Angola and start school.

8 year old Youssef from Gaza, the Palestinian Authority – Youssef recovered very quickly from his heart surgery and was very brave. Kept smiling and playing with the other children the whole time.

One year old Jinhong Mu from China – Jinhong was diagnosed with severely complicated congenital heart disease at birth. His pediatric cardiologist at Heibei Children's Hospital in Shijiazhuang,China referred him to SACH with hope that our medical team could help him. Jinhong and his family live in a small rural village and his parents are farmers.

3.5 year old f Lano from Iraq – Lano is a very friendly and outgoing child. She loves being with people and is very affectionate. Her mother teaches mathematics.

 15 year old Kelvin from Zimbabwe – Kelvin is a charming young man. He has one brother and two sisters. Kelvin will be coming to Israel soon to undergo life saving heart surgery.

6 year old Woodley from Haiti – Woodley was brought to Israel by SACH by the Israeli rescue team from Haiti. During Woodley’s complex surgery, serious complications developed and Woodley's life was in danger. Brave little Woodley survived all the complications and he is now recovering nicely at the hospital and is enjoying the company of all the volunteers.

Save a Child's Heart would like to thank our champions who spanned North America, the UK, Israel, Australia, and South Africa. A special thank you needs to be extended to SACH South Africa and LR Group in Israel.  Additionally, thank you to the students around the world who organized Valentines Day events in their communities to support SACH.  Thank you to the American International School in Israel, University of Virginia, New York University (NYU), Hillel of Rochester Area Colleges, University of Los Angeles (UCLA), University of Maryland, Washington University in St. Louis School of Social Work, and Solomon Schechter Day School of Essex and Union New Jersey, in the United States, the University of Ottawa, McGill University in Canada, the University of London,  and lastly Leibler Yavneh College, Mount Scopus College and King David School in Melbourne, Australia.

At the end of January, Israel's heroic national rescue team brought 6 year old Woodley Elysee and his aunt from earthquake-stricken Haiti to Israel so that Save a Child's Heart can perform the heart surgery that Woodley needs to survive into adulthood.

Woodley has undergone his surgery, and he is one of thirty children being treated by Save a Child's Heart in Israel. Though the Israeli doctors donate their time, $10,000 is needed to save the life of each child. Help us reach our goal of saving ten more lives in February!

Save a Child's Heart is an international humanitarian project providing life-saving heart surgery and follow-up care for children from dozens of developing countries, regardless of their race, religion, or financial situation. SACH offers all of its varied services at Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, Israel.

SACH is also dedicated to improving the quality of pediatric cardiac care for children from developing countries and creating centers of competence in these countries.
