I got involved in the issue of Israeli-Palestinian peace back when I was a rabbinical student. It started when a friend brought me to meet people already working in the field, and they brought me to meet Palestinians, and show me how they were living. I think that the hardest part for me is that it seems like barely anything has changed. But actually - it's not true: a lot has changed, and the change has been because people like Shalom Achshav's Hagit Ofran makes sure that people don't stop talking about it and working for change.
And I feel like I have to do something. This is THE most important issue for Jews of our generation. What will I tell me children, if I don't work for it?

Israel deserves both peace and security, and Palestinians deserve a place where they can govern themselves democratically. There's only one way to have all that - a two-state solution. And that's why I support Americans for Peace Now.
