ASU Men's Lacrosse Needs Your Help to Reach the MCLA National Championship

Friends and Family and fellow lacrosse fans –

I’m excited about this upcoming season with Arizona State’s Lacrosse Team.

The team is practicing 3 x per week, weight training 3 x per week and much to my Mom’s pleasure has study hall together 2 x per week.

The fall season includes a few games, including games against UNLV and Chapman, and team building events. The real season starts in February when ASU will attempt to win our division and the MCLA National Tournament in Denver.

As the team needs to travel, each team member is required to fundraise $1300 toward the travel needs of the team (this is in addition to the personal contribution each team member has already made). Please help if you can with a tax deductible donation of $5 or $10 or more. I will in turn keep you informed of how the season progresses and we’ll let you know if/when games are televised.

Here’s the tentative schedule for the season which will be updated at www.asulacrosse.com

2011 ASU Men's Lacrosse

Your support of Arizona State lacrosse makes a difference! Lacrosse is not recognized as a varsity sport. Therefore, most of our funding comes from players' dues. A significant portion of the team’s $255,000 budget is raised from outside sources. Players each pay approximately $3,000 annually to participate. With a team of 45, the difference comes to nearly $120,000.

About ASU Men's Lacrosse

Sun Devil Lacrosse provides a very competitive lacrosse experience on a national scale. Our student-athletes are expected to dedicate themselves to the team, but they are given the time and latitude to focus on their academics. Players are expected to work as hard in the classroom as they do on the field.

Are We There Yet?

The goal of ASU Men’s Lacrosse Club is to be the best MCLA program in the country. Playing the best teams in the league is the only way to see where we stand. Our toughest competition is located in other parts of the United States and Canada.
