Hula Hoop Houston (Aug 28):
We are raising funds and setting the Guinness World Record(tm) of 3100 simultaneous Hula Hoopers, August 28th at Discovery Green from 9-12 p.m.! All funds we raise will benefit those strangers and friends living with a disability that receive free services from Easter Seals Greater Houston.
To set the record we need 3100 people to register by Taking the Challenge which will also create a fundraising page. Be sure to Share with your friends to either Donate to your page or to Take the Challenge and create their own fundraising page. (We ask you Take the Challenge, Donate or Share as this will serve as your pre-registration for the actual event. You do not need to print a thing.)
Most importantly, know that 1 in 5 Houstonians live with a disability. The state budget cuts caused 1 in 6 of these clients to LOSE services such as respite care and early childhood intervention. We can make a difference and have fun. We all know enough people to reach our goal of $250,000 raised from the Hula Hoop EVENT!
