Two years ago Yulia and Gili Ben Moshe led a normal life with two healthy daughters. Then, one bright day, a little baby was born. Tears of happiness spread through the house. Several weeks later they became tears of despair.

Lavi, their little baby boy, was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called Canavan disease.

Every parent's nightmare had become their grave reality.

Instead of giving up, Yulia and Gili decided to do all that they possibly can to save their child. Despite the hardships involved, the couple is leading an international campaign to raise $1.5 Million Dollars to further research this disease, fund a breakthrough operation, and hopefully help save their little Lavi and other children who suffer from this disease.

Lavi is now 18-months-old. According to the doctors, he was supposed to have been a vegetable or even dead by now. But thanks to the devotion and hope of his parents and the love and help of many others, Lavi is still alive and smiling.

This is one of those moments when big words fade out, making place for the unheard voice of one little baby grasping at life, appealing to the kindness and greatness of the human spirit.
