Light the "Flag of Hope" and help Israeli youth
|
|
"ELEM-Youth in Distress", a non-profit organization for runaway, homeless and neglected Israeli youth in distress kindly invites you to open your hearts and help us assist youth in desperate need all over Israel.
The children and the youth of Israel are our single MOST IMPORTANT RESOURCE! Even though we had already celebrated Israel's 62nd Independence Day (April 19th, 2010), the 7th annual ELEM "Lights of Hope Flag” campaign is still available online. Yes, the flag has successffuly been lit and your possible contribution will not be able to light a bulb anymore, but the needs here in Israel are still extremely high and your assistance is highly appreciated.
Please open your hearts and help us at "ELEM-Youth in Distress" in changing the lives of Israeli children and youth!

2010 Israel is facing a huge challenge.
In these days of a national crisis among the youth, we are witnessing extreme cases of violence, addiction, vagrancy and detachment among youth from all sectors and layers of the Israeli population. Over 300,000 Israeli children and adolescents have numerous troubles that are ignored and neglected, this creating an unbearable situation for Israel's children and their and our future!
This is the challange that "ELEM-Youth in Distress" has been successfully addressing for the past 27 years through a variety of innovative and creative programs. By becoming a supporter of "ELEM's Lights of Hope Flag" campaign, you will be helping us continue our vital efforts of ensuring Israel's future generation.

A Message from Nava Barak, ELEM's President |
|
|
| |

As ELEM's president, I am proud to stand, for the seventh year in a row, at the head of ELEM "Lights of Hope" flag campaign, a project with crucial impact on youth in distress and at risk in Israel. For the second straight year, we are asking ELEM's our friends from around the world to participate in the month-long campaign that coincides with Israel's 62st Independence Day.
ELEM's employees and volunteers meet youth in crisis and distress day and night, wherever they are: on the streets, in their communities and in the various centers while offering them the opportunity to return to a more normative life style.
We invite you to join us in our national effort and help us invest in the youth of Israel as only through a joint effort we can make a real difference in their lives, helping them to become more productive citizens in the future.
From now until May 19th, I call on each and every one of you to participate in our international "Lights of Hope" campaign by lighting a bulb. Every little bit counts, so thank you for your generosity. Together we will light the way for thousands of children and teenagers.

How can YOU help us assist Israeli youth in distress?!? |
|
|
| |
Every one of us can make an impact, help and contribute. Here are a few ways to get involved:
- Invite friends - to join our journey and make a change - import your friends' email addresses and personalize an email which they will receive.
- Become a Dinner Club Champion - You could personalize a page and even add a pledge goal which you could communicate with your friends. You could then track and see how many of your friends visited your fund raising page, thank the ones who donated, and who invited his/her friends. People like you from all over the world were able to raise 100's and 1000's of dollars and even more important - raise awareness for a cause they care about.

It's not about how much you give, it's about how much you care! |
|
|
| |

Being fully aware of these challenging economic times, we want to make sure that you know that for this campaign to be truly successful, it is not about how much you give, but rather about how much you care.
We hope that you will consider donating to "ELEM-Youth in Distress" by donating one or more light bulbs, but even more important, can we count on your support?
We made it easy (and fun) for you - to make an impact all you need to do this year is either invite your friends, family and colleagues or share this project by posting it on one of many social networks.
On behalf of the Israeli youth,
thank You and Hag Sameach!
