This week on Street Stories, John and I will take anyone who’s willing on the road to life.   

The story begins with a high school wrestler who’s about to be pinned.

“Come on Andrew!” you hear someone from the crowd scream.

Moments later, Andrew Dunham does a reversal,  tossing his opponent on his back.  Andrew, now a state champion, was close to pinned in life only a few years ago.

Road to Life (RTL) is a cross country road trip designed to expose urban students to untouched and unfamiliar natural environments across the US.

"I have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon and I swear when you see it you can't believe it's real.  I thought I was looking at a backdrop or something because I can not even begin to grasp the concept that the Colorado River could carve such a beautiful creation."  Josh

"I want to say thank you to NAFI and the Board of Education and the fellow community members who accompanied me on this trip, because this was truly the best thing that ever happened to me.  The things that I experienced on this trip gave me a better outlook on my life and on life in general.  I haven't had the best life,. . . but this trip took away all of the worry and the sadness of not being home, and I actually allowed myself to be a kid."   Andrew
