As summer approaches, almost every child starts to dream about the fun of "summer vacation" and the possibility of summer sleep-away camp.  Thanks to Shalva it's no different for special needs children in Israel.   Shalva kids are given the opportunity to travel around the country, visit amusement parks and participate in sporting activities - just like other kids their age. 

For many of our children, this is truly a chance of a lifetime.  Due to physical and financial constraints, the families of these children simply do not have the resources to provide a camp experience to their children.  Without Shalva's program, the summer would be a constant hardship for these special needs children and their families.   In essence, Shalva's summer camp fulfills both the dreams of the parents and their special needs child. 

Shalva provides services to more than 500 participants with special needs, infants to young adults, via a wide range of tailored programs and round-the-clock therapies, seven days a week.  By placing special emphasis on social and family interaction, the special needs child can better integrate into the community.
