The fires are out but the emergency continues.

The Carmel is devastated and vulnerable. Israel’s firefighting capability is depleted. Another fire would bring another disaster.

- Firefighters need more equipment - both for their safety and for fighting fires.

- The Carmel must become green again.

The people and the habitats of the Carmel deserve our help. Please act now!

Honoring Elad Riven

The Carmel fire claimed the life of Elad Riven, a 16 years old high school student and a volunteer firefighter from Haifa. Heroically Elad charged into a burning bus carrying 40 correction officers to save as many lives as he could with little regard for his own. We will honor the brave legacy of Elad Riven by naming the first donated fire rescue vehicle in his memory.

Honoring Assistant Commander Tomer

Sadly, the Carmel fire claimed the life of Assistant Commander Ahuva Tomer who was the highest-ranking woman in Israel's national police force and who served as Haifa's Chief of Police. Assistant Commander Tomer was fatally injured when she raced to help people caught in the flames. We will honor the legacy of Assistant Commander Tomer by naming the second donated rescue vehicle in her memory.
