Creating an Account
When you create an account on our website, we collect basic information about you - your name and email address. We collect additional personal information you when send invitations to contacts, create a contacts list, or use other features of the give2gether site. In some cases, we may also ask you to send us additional information or to answer additional questions to help verify your information. We may collect information to help validate your identity or detect potentially fraudulent conduct.
Making a Conditional Pledge or Contribution
Even if you do not create an account, we collect personal information when you make a Conditional Pledge or Contribution or when we receive such information from the Payment Service Provider. This consists of give2gether account information and donation history only. When you make a Conditional Pledge or Contribution, your name, email address, and donation information will be provided to the Charity to which you pledged or contributed.
The Charity will collect and use this information as they indicate in their own terms of service and privacy policies. We recommend that you review these policies. Information collected by Payment Service Providers, including Payment Instrument information, is collected and used by the Payment Service Providers based on their own terms of service and policies. give2gether does not collect or access Payment Instrument information collected by Payment Service Providers.
Disclosure of Personal Information
We will not sell or rent your personal information. We may share your personal information with companies or individuals outside of give2gether in order to process Conditional Pledges and Contributions, send notices, offer you services in connection with our site, communicate news and information about give2gether, provide customer service, and to improve the give2gether site. Third parties are provided with your information only to the extent necessary to serve these purposes, or as otherwise authorized by this policy.
Aside from the purposes described above, we will not disclose your personal information without your consent, unless we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce applicable Terms of Services, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect against imminent harm to the rights, property or safety of give2gether, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.
We may share aggregated demographic and statistical information with our other partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
Viewing and Updating Your Information
You can disable your give2gether Account by contacting us. If you do so, your information will no longer be viewable on the site. However, the information may be retained in our system in order to meet reporting and auditing obligations, and to detect, deter, and prevent fraud or other misconduct. If you disable your give2gether Account, your personally identifiable information will not be used by give2gether or shared with third parties except for these purposes. We may delete these records over time if permitted or required by law.
