2017 Do I Still Matter?

Gizmo's fur was thick but not enough to shield him from the bone-chilling cold. He was hungry, his body ached and he had nowhere to go. At 9, he was left wondering what he did wrong and if he mattered to anyone.

Gizmo did matter. All he needed was a second chance.

Your gift of $72 will give 2 pets shelter for one day, and provide lifesaving care for both body and heart.

Can pets like Gizmo count on you to make a gift?

How can I make a donation to help the pets?

We welcome donations of any size to help us continue our mission.  Working together, we can make a difference in saving pets’ lives. Find out about all our donor programs…Ways to Give.

Is CT Humane a member of any national organization like the HSUS or ASPCA?

No, we are not affiliated with any national organizations. The Connecticut Humane Society is a local non-profit that provides immediate and critical services to pets in our community. There is no national organization which provides direct care and financial support to Connecticut shelters on an ongoing basis.  Supporting your local shelter supports your community.
