Transform their lives with a gift.

You transformed the lives of more than 15,000 pets this year. You found new families for homeless pets. You filled the bowls at CHS' Pet Food Pantry. You treated pets at Fox Memorial Clinic. And you gave pro-bono care in CHS' veterinary department to pets from local municipal shelters.

Many more will need you in 2018.

Your gift of $144 will give 4 pets shelter and care for one day, and will cover the cost of their vaccinations.

How can I make a donation to help the pets?

We welcome donations of any size to help us continue our mission.  Working together, we can make a difference in saving pets’ lives. Find out about all our donor programs…Ways to Give.

Is CT Humane a member of any national organization like the HSUS or ASPCA?

No, we are not affiliated with any national organizations. The Connecticut Humane Society is a local non-profit that provides immediate and critical services to pets in our community. There is no national organization which provides direct care and financial support to Connecticut shelters on an ongoing basis.  Supporting your local shelter supports your community.

About Us

Our Mission Statement:

"The Connecticut Humane Society is the leading resource in the state for companion animal welfare, enriching the lives of families and communities through adoption services, medical care, education, and prevention of cruelty."

We envision a state where each companion animal finds a permanent, compassionate home, where communities are enriched by the special bond between people and animals and where cruelty no longer exists.
