Heal Pets Now, Body and Soul

Ghost's big, goofy grin disappeared for awhile. His person had passed away leaving him confused and lonely. He came to CHS for a fresh start.

But Ghost needed more than comfort for a broken heart. He had pneumonia and Lyme disease too! His eyes were begging for relief.

Because of friends like you, he received the veterinary care, TLC, and the new family he needed to bring his grin back.

Your gift of $72 will give 2 pets shelter and care for one day.

FAQ

Question:

How can I make a donation to help the pets?

Answer:

We welcome donations of any size to help us continue our mission.  Working together, we can make a difference in saving pets’ lives. Find out about all our donor programs…Ways to Give.

Question:

Is CT Humane a member of any national organization like the HSUS or ASPCA?

Answer:

No, we are not affiliated with any national organizations. The Connecticut Humane Society is a local non-profit that provides immediate and critical services to pets in our community. There is no national organization which provides direct care and financial support to Connecticut shelters on an ongoing basis.  Supporting your local shelter supports your community.

About Us

Our Mission Statement:

"The Connecticut Humane Society is the leading resource in the state for companion animal welfare, enriching the lives of families and communities through adoption services, medical care, education, and prevention of cruelty."

We envision a state where each companion animal finds a permanent, compassionate home, where communities are enriched by the special bond between people and animals and where cruelty no longer exists.
