Help Bear

Bear is going to lose both of his eyes to untreated glaucoma after being horrifically neglected. Left out in a fenced yard with no food or water, this older fella did know love in his life but after his guardian passed away, the people who took him in banished to the back yard. Barely able to see, he lived in a dark world filled with cloudy shadows and uncertainty.

A kindly neighbor finally rescued him from this unending suffering and brought him to the Penticton BC SPCA where he was taken to the local vet clinic.

He had many issues which included scabby, sore skin, bad teeth and worst of all, very painful eyes. Bear suffers from painful bilateral glaucoma in both eyes, which is very hard to treat and the medications to treat it do not work for long and is a fight almost always lost.

The only way to stop the pain is to have both eyes removed so Bear can have a pain free life.

Bear is a very sweet boy who, despite his painful eye issues, still craves the attention of people and just wants to be close.
