Help Rosie

Death looked over Rosie as she was rushed into emergency care with a horrific infection in her uterus. However, upon immediately receiving the surgery to remove her uterus and getting fluids, pain medication and antibiotics in her system she is slowly beginning to recover.

This should never have happened to this sweet and mellow seven-year old Chow Chow and an investigation is currently underway.

Rosie needs you. You can help cover her urgent surgery and be there for her as she recovers.

Question:

How do you arrive at the cost of care budget per animal?

Answer:

Each item listed is an average cost of care across the province. Several factors may affect the cost of an individual animal's care including medical treatment of injuries, rehabilitation, whether it requires spay/neuter, vaccines etc. In addition, in some of our communities the costs to care for animals may be slightly higher or lower depending on the shelter operating costs in that community.
