Due to the security situation the Adullam Night Race organizers have decided to postpone the Adullam Night Race for Orr Shalom for Children and Youth at Risk which was due to take place on 7th August.
We hope that you will still be able to take part in the run which is now due to take place on Tuesday 9th September.
This gives us all more time to get fit, train and raise more money!!

Join Team Orr Shalom and run for the kids of Orr Shalom. We are encouraging everyone - families, kids (10+), and teams - to take part in this fun event, and help Orr Shalom's children!

We rescue and care for 1,400 children in Israel who have suffered severe abuse, neglect and tragedy. Please Run2gether and help Orr Shalom's children rebuild their lives!

We invite you all (10+) to take part in the Adullam Night Trail Run on 9 September at 20:00, 5k or 10k, in aid of our children.

The funds raised will go towards Orr Shalom’s Emergency Safe Haven summer or Sukkot camp which provides a vital refuge for 50 of our most at-risk children, during the vacation.

50 of our most vulnerable children have nowhere else to go this summer. While many of our children can return to their biological families for this short break, these 50 children are orphans alone in the world, or it is simply very unsafe for them to go home.

We rely entirely on the generosity of our donors to fund this essential program.

Without you, we cannot provide a Safe Haven for these 50 children who desperately need a safe, therapeutic place to spend the holidays.

Sarit*, aged 16, was removed from her home after her father killed her mother and was subsequently imprisoned for life.  Three years ago she came to live in one of our family group homes and has since attended the Safe Haven four times a year, every year.  Sarit is totally alone in the world with no family network.  Vacation time is particularly difficult for her as she watches her school friends spend time with their families and enjoy outings and trips.  Sarit has no place to go.  It is essential that we continue to provide her with a safe haven during school vacations.

The cost per child, for 21 days of summer Safe Haven camp

Item / Activity Cost
Accommodation and food ₪1,150

Orr Shalom for Israel's Children-at-Risk

Orr Shalom rescues and cares for Israel’s children who have been removed from their homes by the social welfare services, having suffered severe abuse and/or neglect, or because they have been abandoned by their parents or suffered a familial tragedy.

We care for 1,300 children from birth to 18+ years from all sectors of Israeli society, in a variety of frameworks including foster care (regular, therapeutic and emergency), family group homes, and closed intensive therapeutic homes.
